At Studio 17, my goal is to create a space
where Classical Pilates is designed around you.

BeLinda Bellows
Owner

I began my Pilates journey in 2007 with a mat class, and what started as a simple introduction quickly grew into a lifelong dedication to Classical Pilates. My teaching is rooted in the original work of Joseph Pilates, honoring the method’s structure, order, and intention while meeting each client where they are.

In 2014, I earned my Pilates Mat Certification through Balanced Body®, followed by my Comprehensive Certification from Peak Pilates in 2017. In 2022, I completed an intensive 18-month program with Karen Frischmann, Classical Progressions, deepening my understanding of the classical system and its purposeful progressions. I continue my education monthly through Karen’s Mastery Series, refining my eye, my cueing, and my own practice.

I proudly consider myself a forever Pilates student. Ongoing study is essential to preserving the integrity of the Classical method, and I am committed to teaching Pilates as a complete, intelligent system that builds strength, mobility, balance, and confidence over time.

I was raised in Wyoming and met my husband while attending the University of Utah. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, and my husband completed his Master’s degree in Architecture. We are parents of two grown daughters, two wonderful sons-in-law, and - best of all - two amazing grandsons, who keep us smiling.
